Reformer apparatus was designed by Joseph Pilates. It consists of a carriage that moves back and forth along tracks within a frame. The resistance is provided by the exerciser's body weight and a set of springs attached to both the carriage and the platform. Reformer Pilates offers all the benefits of Pilates including overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. These things, in turn, lead to daily life improvements like better posture, graceful and efficient movement, and for many, relief from pain associated with physical imbalances such as back pain.
Prenatal Pilates is an intelligent, wonderful way to stay connected to and continue to tone your body throughout pregnancy. I will design customized, safe, effective and fun training programs to meet your special needs throughout the changing phases of your pregnancy. The exercises in these programs will strengthen the pelvic floor and transverse, reduce low back pain, address postural issues common to pregnant women, and improve the central nervous system to reduce stress through functional brain training. We are how we move – even in pregnancy. Stay connected to your body, manage stress through movement and find inspiration and support, it makes all the difference!
Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic system of practicing asanas (poses). Yoga postures flow in a logical sequence. Each position complements those that precede and follow. This practice focuses on the synchronization of breath & the continuous flow of movement. Vinyasa is a strong practice that builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and mental focus.
Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions (including the use of many props) to tip the balance from “fight or flight” mode into maximum relaxation. Yogis developed these poses over many years, but science tells us that, under the conditions set in restorative yoga, immediate effects on heart rate, blood pressure and brain activity are possible. Emphasis on complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body.

Where do all these offerings take place?
Our sessions can take place in several settings. If you live in the Cincinnati/NKY area, I have use of a beautiful studio space called The Breathing Room which is located in between O’bryonville and Hyde Park in Cincinnati, OH. I can also provide in home or workplace sessions where I come to you.
Do I have to have prior yoga or Pilates experience to start 1:1 instruction?
Absolutely not, the beautiful thing about 1:1 instruction is that I am able to meet you where you are, which means whether that means you are a movement newbie or seasoned student looking to advance your practice, I have you covered.
What is your cancelation policy for private sessions?
Cancellations may take place in a 24 hour notice, otherwise client is charged for the session missed.
